Hello

A few years ago, a friend of mine moved to Arizona. Her daughter is one kind beautiful soul with an extra chromosome. When they moved to AZ, I was very happy to help them search for services and activities to include them in our community. To my surprise, despite Arizona being one of the top states for services for people with disabilities, it was very hard to find activities, services, or things to do in the Valley. Disappointed, I started making some calls. Another friend, who is the president of a local non-profit, offered her support by opening a piano class for my special friend, and just like that the story began.

Getting to know our special friend I became more and more involved with the DS (diverse skills) world. In the last few years, I have devoted my life to serving people with disabilities in Arizona. While at it, I started noticing more and more the need for inclusive services and providers who could cater to our community. With that need, I started knocking on some doors and I have been very blessed to have found several people who are eager to support us and start working with us.

Today, we have a handful of businesses that are working hard to make Arizona a more inclusive state. We have now food places, non-profits, clubs, an art gallery, and a few other companies, opening their hearts to provide exclusive services to become more inclusive towards our community.

Where this will take us... I still do not know. In the meantime, we started an LLC that is moving towards becoming a non-profit. We have people interested in backing up some of the projects we have planned. We are reaching out to some officials for support, and we are getting an amazing response from a lot of good people. We hope to grow with you and to be able to serve The DS World for many years to come.
